Franc Contreras
Award-winning nonfiction filmmaker Franc Gabriel Contreras was born in Tucson, Arizona and has been living in Mexico City since 1996. His television and radio news reports from across Latin America and the U.S. Southwest have been seen and heard by audiences around the world.

Dave Fonseca
Originally from Mexico City, he begun his intellectual independence during adolescence, when he questioned about his relationship with reality and his life's mission, that led him to explore various disciplines and occupations, from studying philosophy, pedagogy, and music, to engaging in photographic production, automotive mechanics, and community service, he eventually completed his studies in cinematography. Subsequently, he specialized in documentary filmmaking, where he crossed paths with Franc Contreras in a classroom. Contreras invited him to participate in "Turn Back South," his inaugural documentary essay, marking the beginning of a professional collaboration at Southsider Films.
