Notes From a Long Walk (2022)
“Notes From A Long Walk” is a non-fiction film narrated by Haitian-born Jean-Daniel Cerán, who details his own harrowing journey to make a better life. His voyage takes him from the Caribbean town of Jacmel to the Dominican Republic, South America, and north to Mexico. The short film emerges in an era when millions of people worldwide are fleeing their homelands due to natural and human-made disasters, including political upheavals and climate change. Original footage from Guatemala; Tapachula, Chiapas; Mexico City; and Ciudad Acuña, across the U.S./Mexico border from the state of Texas.
